My family lived at the Royal Cottage from about 1830 to the 1960s when my great Uncle Jack and his wife Agnes retired. I’m putting together a history of the Brunt family and would like any information or pictures of the Royal Cottage. I believe that the Royal Cottage was previously known as the Moor ****. Joseph Hine had it before Eli Smith Brunt and his wife moved there in the 1830s. Eli’s wife Susana was related to Joseph. Think they came from Gib Torr.
The Brunts lived at Hole Carr from late 1500s to 1830s
My Grandfather was Seth Brunt and was born at Underhill which is on the Army range. Seth and his brother Walter both fought in WW1 and survived. They are mentioned in Quarnford church.
