From Staffordshire Museum Service I recently purchased a photograph of Sam Sykes in his cobbler's workshop in Longor. I was intrigued to see hanging on the wall behind him what appears to be a fiddle, by the size I would think it was a Viola. Can anyone remember being told or reading that Sam was a fiddle player?
