Does anybody have any information about my grt grt grandfather Micheal Cowper Lomas Wardle he was born at doncows grove in 1810 may be at farm he lived his life in handforth cheshire he was methodist his trade was cordwainer and shoe maker i am looking for his parents and kin for my family tree many thanks
Mark There was a Matthew Lomas bap at Quarnford 11 3 1804 son of Richard and Prudence Lomas. This is prob not the person you are looking for but who knows. Nothing for Wardle on the web site I searched on. There was a Sampson Lomas at Duncows Grove in the 1881 census age 50 a farmer of 30 acres b hollinsclough. His wife was called Elizabeth age 47 b Hartington. Children Sampson 16 farm serv indoors, Mathew age 14 and James age 10 all born hollinsclough.
