Hello Wendy I looked into this a couple of years ago when the case went to the House of Lords. I think that Hollinsclough is OK but the Church has until October 2013 to register their interests with the Land Registry. i uunderstand that if there is any doubt, when you purchase a property you can take out an insurance which costs about £75 (or it did then) and lasts for 25 years (I think).
